OSIDEA is an international brand that has a long history of making furniture for European hotels and cafes. We are bringing our design voice and sensibility to the North American market. Known for elegant, wood-based furniture, all of our products are light in scale but remarkably strong and durable. The evolving product line has been developed by a group of international designers who create timeless, modern designs with an international flavor.
BROUGHT TO YOU DIRECTLY
Our mission is to provide high quality, well designed modern furniture at a great value. These products are hand made in our factory just outside of Beijing, China to our exacting, high-quality standards, and imported to the USA. Osidea USA Inc. is the exclusive North American distributor of OSIDEA products. Our warehouse facility is capable of shipping anywhere in North America. We also offer special pricing to the trade.
REAL WOOD PRODUCTS MADE BY HAND
All our bent plywood products are made from renewable hardwoods and hardwood veneers. The face veneers are oak, maple and walnut. Our core veneers are birch. Face veneers on painted products are oak. Each piece is hand-selected and painstakingly laid up (also by hand) into custom molds. The molds compress alternating layers of the veneers and specialized glues to create the light but strong designs that are the hallmark of bent plywood construction.
STANDARDS OF EXCELLENCE
Although our products have not yet been BIFMA certified, they are BIFMA compliant, and have passed many rigorous tests for the European contract and hospitality markets. We think they are also perfectly suitable for residential and home-office use. In fact, we use them ourselves every day!
OSIDEA uses Asko Nobel glues and finishes that meet or exceed EU air quality standards.
